Tour de Awesome

I recently rediscovered EmilyStyle and can't stop thinking about her Tour de Awesome idea.

Basically, she and a bunch of friends are turning 30 soon and each wants to do "something significant" to mark the milestone. Each person is hosting an event or challenge for their own birthday and Tour de Emily is a 5 day 250 mile bike ride. Another friend is doing something with hiking.

I've totally fallen in love with the idea and I'm seriously considering coming up with something for my 25th next year.

What would you do for Tour de You?

That IS awesome. I've been thinking about doing something similar for my own 30th. My first thought was a 30 mile run. Then I thought maybe just doing 30 pullups in one go. Haha. We'll see what I come up with. But it's going to be good!

You should run a full marathon on your 26th. Not sure about 25. Skydiving?

Does it have to be healthy? All I can think of involves lots of food, but maybe that isn't the point...

I'm turning 25 this year too! We should plan something together!! I'm going to Paris and Amsterdam in a few weeks, but that's more along the lines of eating cheese than being awesome ... maybe a half marathon?

OK. 10K?

I really have always wanted to bike along the pacific coast and possibly through the redwoods. I have an affinity for all things pacific northwest and I am so desperately out of shape that maybe by 30 I could pull myself together enough to get out and do it!

Either that or go kayaking/whale watching up by Vancouver, BC.

We shall see. Thanks for the inspiration!
